The Study Commission
on the Future of Gaming in Ohio will hold its first meeting in late February, Rep.
Jay Edwards (R-Nelsonville) announced Friday.
Meeting dates are
Tuesday, Feb. 20, Thursday, Feb. 22, Tuesday, March 19 and Wednesday, March 20,
according to a news release from Edwards’ office.
“Keep in mind that
while start times have not been announced, the committee start times will be in
the morning. The only exception to this is the March 20 committee date, in
which we will start sometime in the afternoon,” Edwards’ office said.
Meeting dates and
topics are as follows:
- Feb. 20: Ohio Casino
Control Commission testimony and interested party testimony on iGaming
- Feb. 22: Ohio
Lottery Commission testimony and interested party testimony on iLottery
- March 19: Ohio
Racing Commission testimony and interested party testimony on racinos and
charitable gaming
- March 20: Testimony
on sports betting and daily fantasy sports
Each hearing will
include time for public testimony at the end of the planned agenda. The

The commission,
created in HB33 (Edwards), is co-chaired by Edwards and Sen. Niraj Antani
